Hunting Around Jogja

Photo hunting with my homies around Jogja, it was my first time do this. Actually, I just wanna test the Sigma tele lens before I'll take pre-wed photos on the next day. I must adapt with this lens, because I'll take an outdoor and candid photos. At the same time, my friend Bas asked me to take some photos with his analog camera (haha same with mine, but different brand and series). He wanted to test his expired ilford film. It's legendary film roll, he spent 55k rupiahs for one roll of it. When we'll go, Bas asked Welly to join with us. Yeah, finally Welly joined, he's the one who took photos with digital camera (eos 550D). I was taking photos with my Nikon F60, Bas with his old Minolta. Bas is the one who was using a fixed lens, and I'm the one who was using a tripod along photo hunt.



Initially, I wanted to took photos about human interest, but Bas asked us to try a street photography, because no one of us had a concept for this photo hunting. So, we looked for places that has a lot of people with their daily activities. Long time think about that, finally we went to Jogja city field. There, we met a lot of people, especially urban people. It's a good condition to took some candid photos, but my lens was error and my camera didn't detect the lens. Fortunately I brought my wide lens. Street photo hunting's started. I just took some photos because it was at 4 p.m. and the light's just a little. I used the ASA 200 film, I need a lot of light to get good photos. The hunting's ended at 5 p.m..

Nikon feat Sigma

I interest about photography, I'm using SLR camera Nikon F60 with Nikkor lens. The ratio of the lens is wide, it's a zoom lens (28-80mm). In the last early March, I got a job, (pre)wedding photo session. I handled the outdoor session, this session is more challenging than indoor session. I must fight against the weather and condition, especially the (sun) lights. I prepared my camera, suddenly I thought I need tele lens for this job. Finally, I borrowed tele lens from my Nikonian's friend Mamat. The size of this lens is 70-300mm. It's the old series of Sigma lens, the result of photographs captured with this lens is not as good as my Nikkor lens. No problem, the important is its function. Honestly, I love the bokeh when I took some pictures with this lens.

Rontgent

Probably, last February was my worst month in this early year. In the 1st week of last February, I had an accident in the highway. When I went back to my boardinghouse after teach my home schooling student, I drove my motorcycle along the highway. I drove behind a group of car. The car hindmost stopped suddenly, then I maneuvered my motorcycle to the left side. Unfortunately, my front wheel grazed the left rear bumper of the car.

What happen after that? My motorcycle and I fell down and spinned in the highway. That was sick. If I meet that driver again, I want to tread his head. After I fell down then pulled my motorcycle over the edge of highway, he wasn't apologize to me. He advise me. Hey man, did you have a mirror? If I'm your son, I really disappointed and shy become your son. My white motorcycle scratched and my left foot can't fold.



I just like an helpless boy. My friends (Yosi, Bebe) often sent me some foods & beverages for me because I can't go everywhere. Just sleep on the bed while held my sickness. Few weeks after that accident I went home. I checked my left foot in the hospital. When I entered the X-ray room, I felt little scared. I went to that room about 6 years ago because of the same incident. Oh My God, the tool was really big. Finally, I got the result and gave the result to internist. She said my left foot is fine and also my right foot. Hoooo, but I still felt sick. I hope it'll get well soon. Because of this, I can't enjoy skateboarding and biking fluently.

Surprise for Nadhia

Thursday night (24/2), the weather was bad. My friend Bebe asked me to accompany him went to Nadhia's house. The weather is rainy and very cold. Beside that, the locations of Nadhia's house is near the mountain Merapi. I knew that a place located in the high land, especially near the mountain, it certainly very cold and full of fog everywhere. Yeah, I knew because my house's location is like that too.

Before went to Nadhia's house, Bebe and I bought a pizza in Pizza Hut near my boardinghouse. Yeah, my boardinghouse is surrounded by food centers and food stalls. Not difficult to find food spots near my boardinghouse. Then we went to Nadhia's house with rain and cold condition. Brrrr!!!




That day wasn't Nadhia's birthday. He had already celebrated her birthday few days before we went to her house. I'm not forgot her birthday, but Bebe forgot it. Bebe felt at fault. So, Bebe, I and other friends bought an unique lamp for Nadhia. The lamp is unique, I can turn on or off the lamp just with clap my hands. The color of lamp is purple (her favorite color) and inside the lamp is our (Bebe, Troy, Binar, Tee, Bimo, Rian, Tio, I) face that printed in transparent paper. So, if the lamp is on or off, Nadhia can see our face.Sweet!!!

Watches

On the end of last February, at night and rainy, I went to accessories shop to checked out the new arrival collections there. I just found the black glam wristwatch. I tried to wear it, it looks smaller than my other watches. Different angle I look this watch, I got different nuance too. I like its simplicity. This watch has two version of size, big for man and small size for woman. I checked the stock, there are a lot. Suddenly I thought to buy all the stock of this watch. Finally, I bought all the stock of it. One for me, my mom, my sister, my dad, my sister's husband, and my nephew. My wallet became thin after bought those.

Blackstone

Very rare my friends and I go to somewhere to discuss about study or doing our tasks. We certainly go to somewhere for having fun or refreshing. Last February, we did the other activity. We flocked and did our tasks together. I thought that was impossible because my friends are talkative, so, we better to discuss about something fun than keep silent while doing the tasks.

We went to place named Blackstone. That was my first time went there. From outside, the place looks like a garage and I didn't see a stone colored black. That wasn't a problem, we just need the place, not the name or the stone. The peoples who came first are Tee, Welly, Bas, and I. Then the new comers are Nadhia, Theo, Pras. A few minutes before we went home, Alim, Dion, Binar came.


Suddenly we're became geeks. We enjoyed with our task, but not all my friends did the same. Tee created the database design, Bas tried to solve the algorithm of his application, Nadhia developed her application, Pras was facebooking, Theo played his new iPod 4G, and I modified my business process and the database design. On that time, Welly and Tee were like a cat and dog. Why? Because the lazy Welly, he said he did his tasks, whereas he just played tnternet.


In the middle of did our tasks, we ordered some foods and beverages. I was very hungry, haha Welly felt the same. We ordered Blackstone's special fried rice. I thought that food will be as special as other delicious food in restaurant. The food's came, but the taste is not as good as I thought, the taste is standard. I just like the performance of this food, uniqe. A glass of ice tea closed my activities there and then went back to boardinghouse.

Road to Magelang street

Long time no ride a bike on night. Customarily, I ride with Bebe, Ari Momo, and Yeni Noel. That's my major formation every ride a bike. That day we want to ride in rising upward routes. Flocked together in the center of Jogja city and then started to ride. We ever ride along this routes, but we gave up in the middle or routes, haha because it was too night. So, we started this ride earlier at 4 P.M.. We all ride mountain bike a.k.a MTB, so, whatever the routes, no problem.


The finish line is our campus staff's house located in Magelang street. The routes more than 10 kilometres. We ride along the highway, we ride along the edge because too dangerous to made a race with motorcycles or cars. Safe way, safe on arrived. We arrived on Mr. Topo's house at 6 P.M.. We just took a rest while laughed together. That's was our longest route ever. Mr. Topo knew that we were tired, so, he bought Nasi Goreng or rice fries for us. My stomach was full up. My friend Tee who live near Mr. Topo's house joined with us too.


The time was too night, 8 P.M. and we had something (tasks) that must be done soon. We went back to our house. The routes when we went home is like downhill. We thought it must be faster than when we started. Yeah, that was true in the early. Rain made us stopped and took a rest while wait the rain till done. Too long we waited, so we desperated to continue. Few minutes after that, Noel's rear tire blew out. Hoahhhh!!! Finally, I took over Noel's bike and Ari accompany me waited in the edge of way while Bebe accompany Noel went to her house. After that, Bebe took and ride his motorcycle to picked me and Noel's bike, then Ari went to his house. Few minutes later, we updated and connected on facebook. Oh, I felt comfort knew they arrived on their house safely.

Hokben before shopping

Shopping can make me forget my stress or something complex that make me down and give me nightmares. I dislike shopping on the weekend or early month, because the shopping center must be very crowded, I'm not comfort with that. I had an experience about scrambling some stuffs with others in the shopping center. That was inconvenience. Shopping center is a fun spot for me, not a fighting spot.


Days after weekend are boring. What I do in the tuesday, wednesday till friday? Do my tasks, countdown to final exam presentation, think and design for editorial staff, blogging, waiting BATB update, etc. That tuesday (15/2) was boring day as other tuesday. Ya, I went to shopping center to buy some boardinghouse need. Before that, suddenly my friend Bas invited my to had a lunch together in Hokben (Hoka-Hoka Bento). Our favorite japanese food place near my boardinghouse.


I went to shop in the middle of month (February), but the shopping center near my boardinghouse still crowded. No problem, I just bought snacks and beverages for stocks. I like to eat snacks while doing my assignments or as friend while watching movies. I bought crackers, wafers, nuts, vitamin-C beverages, and of course noodles (I love noodles). Every I went to the shopping center, very rare I met males there. That's why sometimes I felt weird there. Shy? Not!!! Everybody needs shopping, not just females, males need it too.

Photograph show at KPY

In last valentine's day, I wasn't buy a chocolate for someone. I went to photograph show at KPY. KPY is short of Kelas Pagi Yogyakarta (Morning Class of Yogyakarta). KPY is a community about photography. It located in Yogyakarta. The community is more looks like a class, there is a teachers or experts who teach the participants or students. They hold a photograph show routinely. On last February 14th, I was in that show.




A lot of style of photo in that show. Some photos are looks weird and abstract for me, but yeah that's the art and taste taken by the photographer. I can't judge that the photo is bad or weird, because photography is unlimited and no contraints on it. Just look around the show, I found some inspiring photos, but I thought a lot of about how they create that awesome photos. The show was very crowded, dominated by photograpy maniac, the photographers and the models. Romantic show on valentine's day.

Semesta coffee

What a bitter coffee? My friend Bas invited me to go to Semesta Cafe. That night was rainy, whereas I had a lot of task. So, I ordered a cup of coffee, the name is coffee Semesta. The portion is small, yeah it's in the cup. The extraordinary is the taste. The taste was really bitter. Damn!!! Unlikely, I must drank it so that I can awake till night. That was right!!! I started do my tasks at 10 P.M. and it's done at 2 A.M.. The tasks are done and I wanna sleep, but my eyes can't close. I watched some movies, but I still can't close my eyes or feel sleepy. That was suck, because of that very bitter coffee, I slept at 8 A.M.. That coffee is recommended for people who want to stay awake overnight till morning. Try it and you will stay awake for few hours.
